The Bay Lights

Zoon led the effort to install 25,000 individually addressable LED lights on the vertical suspender cables of the West Span of the Bay Bridge, in commemoration of its 75th anniversary. We were instrumental in making this project a reality; using our knowledge of Caltrans District 4 encroachment permit process to make sure this vision came to life. Zoon supported the Bay Lights Team through the initial environmental study, project development, estimates, and selection of the design/build team; and worked with the contractor and design team to prepare the plans and specifications. . We also managed construction activities and coordinated all work with adjacent contracts of the New East Span of the Bay Bridge.
