Adobe Trail-Highway 101 Pedestrian/Bike Path Overcrossing

Zoon managed all aspects of construction management for this pedestrian overcrossing. The steel structure truss spans 10 lanes of highway across Highway 101 and spanning East and West Bayshore frontage roads with concrete voided slab approach structures on both sides with a total length of about 1200 feet and a 147 feet separate structure steel truss bridge spanning adobe creek. The project also includes electrical joint trench for electrical and fiber trunk lines, paving of the 600’ long Adobe Trail reach, extensive lighting, irrigation, landscaping and drainage work. We managed the project budget, schedule, enforcement and oversight of FHWA and Caltrans requirements. He coordinated all source inspection and materials testing and worked with Caltrans oversight engineers to ensure proper project compliance. He also coordinated extensively with Caltrans construction managers on adjacent projects in the Highway 101 corridor, for lane and full freeway closures required for bridge erection.
