Oak Grove Resurfacing Project

This project for the City of Concord involved resurfacing of 1.2 miles of Oak Grove Road in Concord, a main arterial, using CIR (cold in place recycling). The project also involved the replacement and improvement of 26 pedestrian path of travel and curb ramps, as well as signal and pedestrian push button upgrades at three major intersections with other arterials. The project came in well under the bid cost. This was due to site investigations by Zoon which showed that rehabilitation preparation requirements of a portion of the project had been misrepresented. We worked with the contractor and pavement engineer to re-engineer this section of the project at a considerable project savings.
